The 5:00 a.m. club is something of a cult like following. It’s extremely attractive for high performers that want to instill a morning routine and get things accomplished before the rest of the world wakes up!
I myself am a huge proponent of a morning routine but I’m not romantic about the time you decide to wake up. I myself only wake up at 6:30 and my AM routine consists of some reading, breathing, stretching and a workout. I don’t need to sacrifice sleep in order to have a solid hour to invest in myself so no….I am NOT a member of the 5:00 a.m. club!
Todays episode I share some specific questioning that you have to ask in order to decide whether or not you should join the 5:00 a.m. club.
- You have to first find what your chronotype is? Are you a lion who is best suited to wake up early anyway? Are you a bear like the rest of us or are you a lion who really thrives at night?
- You have to decide what you’re going to do inside your morning routine? Are the things you choose important enough to get you out of bed that early?
- What are your main motivations behind this? Were you persuaded by some instagram post or are you serious about leveraging this time in the morning in order to propel your life forward?
I’m sure there are some more things that you can dissect but this is just a starting off point if you’re thinking about becoming a member of the 5:00 a.m. club!
