Weekly Planning Is Extremely Powerful…

in addition to your daily Ritual Design.

We have 13 weeks in a quarter and 52 weeks in a year….that’s not a lot of week!

While mapping out your day and designing a perfect system of daily rituals is a huge part of personal productivity, having your weeks mapped out is a close second. I often tell people that if they can only do one routine, the Keystone routine (the one you do once a week) is where you might want to start.

So today on the show I break down my weekly planning process.

Ultimately it’s divided into two sections…

The previous week review and the upcoming week prep

Remember the WHY is the juice behind your motivation.

Week Review:

First I’ll list out the previous weeks 3 objectives and see which ones were met and which ones weren’t. If some were only accomplished partly, I will write the percentage they were finished.

Next I’ll figure out the WHY behind my not accomplishing the missed objectives.

I’ll then figure out if there is anything I’m going to keep or change for the upcoming week, as well as write a bit of reflection.

Lastly I will track my Ritual Design for the week and make any edits that need to be made. This is a specific tracking system that is laid out in the Ritual Design Planner

Week Prep:

The next step is to set up the next weeks objectives and list the motivations behind why you want to achieve each of these objectives. Remember the WHY is the juice behind your motivation.

Next is one of the most important parts. I’ll break down each objective and list the tasks that need to get done for each one.

Lastly I’ll write one thing that I’m excited for the upcoming week.

And that’s pretty much it. Weekly planning is extremely powerful when I follow the weekly process laid out in the Ritual Design planner. I can tell you when Monday morning rolls around, I’m fired up and ready to go!
